Is this really Taoswap?
Quickest fix
Section titled “Quickest fix”Check the address bar before you connect a wallet or sign anything. The app is taoswap.org, and every Taoswap website is taoswap.org or ends in .taoswap.org. If anyone asks for your seed phrase in a message, in a call or on another site, stop: it is a scam.

A name that only looks close, with an extra word, another ending such as .com or .io, or a swapped letter, is not Taoswap.
Your seed phrase
Section titled “Your seed phrase”Taoswap asks for a seed phrase in one place only: the built-in wallet on taoswap.org, when you choose Import Seed Phrase yourself. It shows you a new phrase when you choose Create New Wallet, and shows your phrase again in Export Seed Phrase only after you enter your password. The phrase is encrypted with your password and stays in your browser: Taoswap never receives it.
Anyone who asks for your seed phrase or your wallet password anywhere else, whether a support agent, a form to “validate” or “sync” your wallet, or a site that only looks like Taoswap, is trying to take your funds.
Messages that offer help
Section titled “Messages that offer help”Treat any direct message that offers help, a refund, a giveaway or an airdrop as a scam attempt, even when its name and picture look official. Reach the team only through the official links above.
There is nothing to pay to unlock or release funds on Taoswap: a swap costs only the chain’s own fees, and Taoswap charges no platform fee.
Wallet extensions
Section titled “Wallet extensions”Install a wallet extension only from the Install links in Taoswap’s Connect Wallet list, or from the wallet’s own website. A fake extension can take your seed phrase as soon as you type it.
Signature requests
Section titled “Signature requests”Approve a signature request only on taoswap.org, and only for an action you started. If your wallet asks for a signature you didn’t expect, refuse it.
A node you didn’t choose
Section titled “A node you didn’t choose”If Taoswap shows Signing through your own node and you never added a node yourself, don’t sign. A node set by someone else can read or change what you sign. Open Network status and click one of the listed endpoints to switch back. The Network status guide explains the endpoints.
If you think you met a scam
Section titled “If you think you met a scam”- If you typed your seed phrase anywhere suspicious, create a new wallet with a new seed phrase on a device you trust, and move what is left to it right away. Whoever holds the old phrase can move your funds at any time.
- Tell the team on Discord, with the fake link or account, so others can be warned.
Transactions on Bittensor are final: Taoswap cannot reverse them.
