Network status

The Network status page shows the health of the Bittensor RPC endpoints the app can use. An RPC endpoint is the node through which the app reads the chain and sends your transactions.

The page covers those endpoints only. It does not report on Taoswap’s own servers.

The Network status page: the summary banner, a card per endpoint with its last block and latency, and the Custom endpoint fieldThe Network status page: the summary banner, a card per endpoint with its last block and latency, and the Custom endpoint field

Each endpoint has a card with its state, its Latency, its Last Block, and when it was checked (Last Checked). The states are:

  • Online: the endpoint answered with its latest block.
  • Late: the endpoint answers, but it is more than five blocks behind the most advanced endpoint. The card shows how many blocks it trails (Blocks Behind).
  • Degraded: the endpoint the app is connected to failed a fresh check, though the open connection may still answer.
  • Offline: the endpoint did not answer.

The banner at the top sums up the endpoints: All endpoints online, Some endpoints degraded or All endpoints offline. The page checks again every minute, and Refresh checks at once.

Archive nodes are listed too. They store the complete history of the chain, which the app queries for historical data, staking information and validator metrics. Their cards only report health.

If the endpoint you use is slow or late, click the card of a healthier one: the app switches to it. The endpoint in use carries a check mark.

Under the list, Custom endpoint takes the address of a node you run. It accepts wss:// addresses only, and refuses an archive node. Once saved, your portfolio, your trades and the live block feed go through that node.

When the endpoints are fine but something fails

A transaction can fail for reasons the status page does not show, such as a price that moved past your slippage. See My transaction failed or is stuck.
